Covid-19 Update #7

Morning All,

Hope you're keeping well.

It's now week three of our return to Squash which has seen a really high number of players return with plenty of energy & enthusiasm! We're pleased to report we have zero Covid-19 cases but we'd like to use this as an opportunity to remind everyone of our Covid-19 secure processes as it's so easy to forget one or two parts of it. Here are our key reminders;

  • Court Timings - You must arrive no earlier than 5 mins before the hour, finish the on-court action by 40 past the hour & depart the site at 10 mins before the hour.
  • Court Bookings - both names must be added to the booking system to ensure the track & trace system is reliable. Solo practice hits are allowed but no guests are permitted for now.
  • Bubbles Squash - please continue sending your groups of up to 6, for which normal Squash can be played. Any play with players outside of this must only be 'sides'.
  • Hygiene - please use the cleaning products on-site to wipe down touch-points including the walls, light-switches & doors. Please use the temperature check upon arrival, if 37.8 degrees or higher, please head home & refer to the NHS guidelines online or ring 111.

Warnings have unfortunately had to be issued following random spot-checks, which do risk the closure of our site. The Committee has invested hours of their time to ensure we are a Covid-19 secure environment working closely with the School & we'd appreciate your help in ensuring we can continue to operate.

Any questions or points, please reply or reach out to our Facebook page.

Finally, professional Squash has returned this week with the Manchester Open which has seen all Top 8 seeds in both the Men's & Women's Draw reach todays Quarter-Finals, catch the action on Eurosport Player from 11am with highlights on the PSA World Tour Facebook page.

Thanks & take care,

Martin Hall
