Current Phase 1 – Preparing to Open
Evening All,
I hope you're keeping safe & well.
As previously communicated we are in Phase 1 – Preparing to open. We have achieved quite a lot so far and we are hoping that we can open on the 1st September, pending approval from WHS which is close.
In order to move to Phase 2 – limited opening, we are completing the risk assessment tasks including the Terms and Conditions for members in Phase 2. There is a bit to read and we have tried to make it as simple as possible. These T&Cs must be accepted if you want to book a court. Please read them carefully to make sure you understand all your responsibilities when you book. Rich Neat, Membership Secretary, will be contacting you shortly with the acceptance process.
There are 3 key areas to remember:-
1. Book all people who will be in the club (Track and Trace)
2. Arrive prepared to immediately play (minimising time on-site)
3. Clean up and get out on time
The T&Cs can be found on our website; https://bsc.mycourts.co.uk/index.asp?sid=&id=3911#content_anchor
Apologies if this seems all a little formal but we do need to keep each other safe & as a committee we are committed to that. We intend to run Phase 2 for a month and then review.
A few people have asked me about leagues during Phase 2 and I have responded that since we have limited court time & England Squash guidance does not allow this, it is not the right time to start the leagues again. Only the same household can play together or 'sides' between different households which is explained here; https://www.englandsquash.com/back-to-squash/guidance-for-players
We will let you know when we have a go from WHS and will unlock the booking system then.
If you have any questions about Phase 2 then please let me know.
Best wishes,
Martin
Club Captain & Coach
