Fantastic Support For Brackley First Team

Hi All

Brackley first team enjoyed a first ever home match in Oxon division one on Tuesday evening, recording a hugely impressive 4-1 win against the pre Christmas divisional winners Wallingford.

The entire team wanted to extend their thanks to all those who turned out to support us on the night. Having started the season strongly in our opening two away matches we were eager to put in a good performance, albeit a little apprehensive knowing the strength that Wallingford had at their disposal.

The support on the night was fantastic and the team talked about the difference it made having a partisan crowd on the balcony, especially given the fact that three of the matches ended in 3-2 wins. The atmosphere will give us a huge home advantage in matches like this and one we hope may be repeated during our remaining 6 home fixtures this season.

If you can afford the time we would love to have your support at our next home fixture on Tuesday 05 February with our visitors Henley looking firm favourites to win the division this season.

The standard of squash is likely to be even more impressive than that of Tuesday’s match with Henley having the likes of Kristen Johnson (former world top 170) and Matt Marshall (current Buckinghamshire County Closed and England over 40’s ranked number 3) at their disposal.

This seasons Brackley squad is made up of Thomas Phipps (ex world top 200), Lewis Milner (England boys under 17’s number 15), George Lovatt, Hugh Perks, Ashley Smith, Jason Burgon and Alex Bensley.

The remaining home fixtures this season are as follows - all matches 7.30pm start.

Tuesday 05 February v Henley
Tuesday 19 February v Bicester
Tuesday 26 February v Abingdon
Tuesday 05 March v Carterton
Tuesday 19 March v Caversham
Tuesday 02 April v Racquets

Whilst we appreciate the season will be hugely difficult given the level we are competing at we will certainly benefit from a repeat of the support we enjoyed last Tuesday and look forward to playing in front of you for the rest of this season.
