Afternoon all,
I hope you've managed to keep your exercise going, have you tried anything new & creative to help sharpen your focus following last weeks guidance? It certainly helps to keep it interesting.
Here at Hall headquarters, we're now kicking a ball around & mixing up some random Squash-related drills in addition to still enjoying the excellent Joe Wicks daily workouts plus the regular walking & cycling. I find that after sitting at a desk most the day, daily stretching and moving are vitally important to keep the blood flowing & mind alert with an increased heart rate.
Here is a summary round-up of this weeks best online Squash training guidance & content;
Last weeks note included an outdoor Squash-specific video from Jesse Engelbrecht which was produced via the super handy Squash Skills training website, which incidentally is free to sign up to for further content. Here is another from the highly regarded Coach, this time a ball skill video which can be easily completed at home;
Sarah Jane-Perry , World No 6 & PSA Women's President took part in a BBC World News discussion on the topic of the ATP (Men's) & WTA's (Women's) Tennis Tours potentially merging, a historic move the PSA Squash tours completed themselves in 2015 which has contributed in a signficiant prize-fund rise for female players;

A 35 min video #Squashedinside produced by the PSA, discussing those creative ways to keep Squash-fit among other eye-catching topics with contributions from Lee Beachill (COO, PSA), Joey Barrington (SquashTV commentator & ex-pro), Sarah-Jane Perry & Daryl Selby (career high No.9).

Stay safe and keep up the exercise, remember anything is better than nothing. We're as eager as can be to get back onto that court with a smile on our face!
Speak next week,
Martin Hall (Club Captain & Coach)
